My Petolon Shawl progress

Posted on July 11, 2014 | 2 comments

My friend Natalie is running her fifth annual Tour De France knit along and I joined in this year. The shawl for this year’s knit along is Petolon which is inspired by the Tour de France itself. You can find all the details in Natalie’s blog post here.

I’m using a skein of my Merino Light Fingering in the Marmalade colourway and I’m halfway through Chart C. I’m really enjoying knitting this pattern. 2014-07-10 10.40.48-1

My friend Lisa (who I’ve met a few years through my friend, Barb, while visiting here in Halifax) has joined the knit along too. She is knitting her shawl using two skeins of my Merino Single Ply Fingering in the Raspberry Mocha colourway. She has made more progress than I have so far as she has already finished Chart C and the following increase row.IMG_20140709_001127

We have been emailing each other at the end of each day with a progress update and often including a picture too. This is the picture that Lisa send me last night with her progress update. Thank you, Lisa, for joining this knit along with me. You have made it a lot more fun for me.

  1. Thanks for telling me about the KAL – It’s my first one, and I’m enjoying the “competitive knitting” I might even finish on time! The
yarn and pattern are fantastic – a great combination.

    • I’m really glad that you joined the KAL, Lisa. It’s been fun.
