My Trunk Show at The Loop on July 12th
I had a great time at my (Yvieknits Yarns) trunk show held at The Loop in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Saturday, July 12th. Thank you to everyone who attended and congratulations to the draw winners. Mimi (the owner) offered up some great prizes for this year’s draw: a swift, a shawl kit and a $25 gift certificate.
One customer kindly brought in this lovely shawl that she recently knit out of 1 skein of my Cash Sock in the Caribbean Waters colourway to show us. The picture is a little blurry as I took it with my phone. I love seeing in person what someone has created using my yarns.
If you didn’t a chance to drop by on Saturday, Mimi did buy more than half of the yarn that I brought with me afterwards so there is a good selection of all my yarns at The Loop now. This includes a few ounces of hand-painted silk hankies which will not be back in stock at the store until mid-November.
Here’s a look at the various displays at the show. This year I brought a good selection of shawl pins and stitch markers made by Francine of Fancy That including some of her new shawl pin designs. I also brought a selection of Natalie Servant Design‘s beautiful shawl patterns with me. Most of my knitted samples are of her designs as she kindly lets me take her patterns with me to various events that I attend.
When I stopped by The Loop on Sunday to pick up my stuff, I treated myself to this Uberwench braid of merino and a felted christmas ornament
