Belated Christmas Knitting

I have almost finished knitting my planned Christmas (belated now) gifts for my friend B. and her family. I have finished and blocked the lap blanklets for her two daughters. I used the Hourglass Throw pattern by Anne Hanson for each but I knit it with my BFL DK as I wanted something a bit smaller.
I used 4 skeins with 1 less repeat wide for the orange one (colourway – Orange Julius) for the younger girl. I used 5 skeins for the purple/blue one (colourway – Huckleberry) and did the number of repeats stated in the pattern for the older girl which resulted in a wider blanklet but only slighter longer in length. This is a fun pattern to knit and I love how it looks after blocking (see closeup picture at the top on the left).
I also finished the Jane Bennet socks for B.’s Mom using my Merino Fingering in my Blue Haze colourway. I love how the twisted stitch pattern looks using this yarn with its tight twist. My sparkly sock yarn has the same tight twist.
I just need to finish the Kandahar socks for B. and I can mail the parcel off to my friend hopefully before the end of January. Here is a in-progress picture of the first sock so far. I am using my Cash Sock yarn in the Stormy colourway.
My note to myself is that this year, I need to start my Christmas knitting a lot earlier.
