The Open House on February 9th

My friend and co-host of the open house Francine (of Fancy That – Creations by Francine) came over to my house on Friday afternoon so that we could setup our display. She brought her mannequins, her stand and lots of her shawl pins and stitch markers with her. Natalie of Natalie Servant Designs kindly let me have her binders containing her patterns for the open house as well. The two pictures above were taken just after we had finished the setup. The layout of the display is largely Francine’s doing. She is so good at creating beautiful displays.

It turned out to be a perfect day for the open house as it was a clear sunny day so that there was lots of sunshine shining in all my windows. Thank you to everyone who came out to the open house today and made it such a successful event. There was a great turnout and I was happy to see so many people enjoying themselves as they hung out chatting, knitting and doing a little of bit of shopping. I was so happily busy and enjoying myself that I totally forgot to take any pictures during the open house.

By the early afternoon almost all these chairs in the seating area were filled with poeple knitting. I was even able to sit down and join the group in the mid-afternoon myself to get a little bit of knitting done.

This was so much fun that I think that I will hold another open house in the summer in early August so that it becomes a bi-annual event.
