My friend, Barb received the parcel with the gifts I knitted for her, her two girls and her Mom today. She texted me immediately afterwards to say that she and the girls loved theirs gifts and that she was already wearing hers. Her Mom will get her present the next time that she comes up to Halifax to visit. I made Earth Maiden for my friend, Barb as she really liked my Earth Maiden that I wore when I visited her last summer. Earth Maiden is a...

Belated Christmas Knitting

Belated Christmas Knitting

I have almost finished knitting my planned Christmas (belated now) gifts for my friend B. and her family. I have finished and blocked the lap blanklets for her two daughters. My Bel Air Sweater

My Bel Air Sweater

I recently finished knitting my first sweater using yarn that I had dyed. I knit the Bel Air sweater by Anne Hanson of Knitspot using almost 3 1/2 skeins of my Cash Sock in the Caribbean Waters colourway. I love her patterns because they are so well written. To determine which size to knit, I looked at the detailed schematic that is included with this pattern as my first step knowing my measurements and how I wanted this sweater to fit. In the...
